The thought for today follows:
Nature herself is a master of silence and without any sound executes her greatest feats of craftsmanship.
Crash and noise accompany the work of disruption and upheaval, but no one can hear her exquisite work of building.
The processes of flowering and fertilisation: the forces of expansion and contraction, of electricity, magnetism and gravitation: of heat and light: all of these, and many others, that build the world of life and nourish and support it, give it warmth and light, colour and beauty, take place in silence.
